About me
When I was director of the Arona School of Music (Tenerife), I learned that, in order to teach and learn music from a broad perspective, it is necessary to know and master conducting techniques.
During my studies in London with the principal conductor of the BBC Orchestra, George
Hurst, I asked myself, “Is conducting an essential part of musical education” for musicians?
The curriculum at that time was divided as follows:

1. March and Pasodoble Waltz Overture
2. Classical Romantic Symphonies
3. With Soloist Piano Strings Singer
4. Post-Romanticism Debussy Bartok Stravinsky
At that time, when I was studying the four conducting programs mentioned, I thought, why not organize and compile them into a method with video? Thus, after thirty years of study and experience:
1. Studying the bow movement of a concertmaster and how they conducted before
the existence of the conductor.
2. Practicing the rhythm and meter of Zoltán Kodály's solfège technique.
3. Studying conducting methods used by renowned conductors.
4. And planning the conducting structure.

I thus came to the conclusion that, even if a variety of techniques are used,
they must be musically simple to understand. Therefore, I have created a method
for studying “conducting techniques” for performing musicians that is quick and
clear to learn. JUNG CHUL CHOI OH
