Art of Conducting Techniques

Conductor's baton on sheet music_edited_

This conducting course will follow the study and guidelines of the e-book created by Jung Chul Choi Oh.

The e-book with video offers an accessible way to understand the work of conductors and facilitates the study of other texts on musical conducting.

Its method focuses on conducting technique and is aimed at musicians of all levels: conductors of orchestras, bands, and choirs, as well as instrumentalists, singers, and composers.

At the beginning of the 18th century, the first violinist of the orchestra assumed the role of conductor. At that time, the concertmaster guided the musicians by moving the bow up and down. However, due to the limitations of these movements, the role of the conductor was gradually introduced. From this emerged the baton and the art of conducting as we know it today. In The Art of Conducting Technique we explore the evolution of the conductor's movements, from the simplest to the most complex, with the aim of developing a clear, efficient, and musically expressive technique.
